My Journey to BI: From Germany to Norway

Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Science in Business

Undergraduate University: Hamburg School of Business Administration

Hometown: Hamburg, Germany

Citzenship: German

MOTIVATION

I first heard about BI Norwegian Business School because of a partnership the Business School had with my university in Hamburg where I took my bachelor’s degree.

I decided to go to BI because of the country where it is in, Norway, my positive experiences during BI International Summer School, the wish to study abroad, the super good master programs were also extremely important.

I believe this will help my career because BI is an international well known university and I appreciate taking the masters degree abroad to improve my English skills as well as collecting international experiences.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

The best piece of advice I can give to a new student about my programme is… stay on the ball!

I am familiar with being challenged but I expected that the self-organization would be an issue.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

The one thing you absolutely must do while living here is hiking and enjoying a sunny day on an island close to Aker Brygge.

The scariest thing about moving away from home were the expensive prices for food.

REFLECTIONS

The most remarkable/interesting thing I learned about myself at BI so far is that all people are very friendly and helpful. My math teacher took extra time for my individual questions and he is truly living the “open door culture”.

My career goal is to get a job that challenges and fulfills me, where I have the feeling to contribute something.
