Activities For Exchange Students

Mathilde Bouvier is a French exchange student that is currently at BI. Mathilde is on her second year of a Bachelor leading to a Master in Finance. Sporty and artistic, she is originally from the west of France (Rennes), she moved to the north of France (Lille) when she turned 18 to study at IESEG School of Management. Beingricher.wordpress.com

Going on exchange to BI does not just mean discovering another culture, meeting new interesting people, and having parties, but also having many different activities and events.
The first activity that I want to talk about is the BInner. It is a dinning club that organizes free meals for exchange students cooked by exchange students with assistance of a professional chef. The atmosphere is welcoming and it is always a unique moment to share. Sometimes there is a food theme, which allows me to discover different gastronomies, for example Norwegian or Chinese cuisine.

Exhausted after your classes? Kroa -the student pub at BI- is the place to be. During the weekly coffee hour, InSA, an association run entirely by BI students, will serve you country inspired refreshments. I always enjoy doing their quizzes and activities that help me to learn more about different cultures. It is also a great opportunity to hang out with my friends.

Do you want to have a better awareness of today’s business world? Conferences by the SBIO Business Society will give you innovative knowledge about different topics that concern today’s society. The aim is to bridge the gap between academia and the business world. Speakers from various firms are welcomed to enlighten students and faculty during the interactive events about topics like work life balance, industry focus and IT & business.
Are you bored of watching movies on your computer? Movie nights in a BI amphitheater will definitely put you in the mood for a movie. A box of popcorn on the lap, sound and image as if you were in a cinema with your friends. What else do you need?

Thanks to the Norwegian environment, you will have access to many other activities such as hiking and ice-skating. You can be sure to enjoy every moment of your stay in the beautiful city of Oslo.
